Jack: ...The dark side of ambition.
Norrington: Oh, I prefer to see it as the promise of redemption.
[Smiles, then he, Jack, and Will clash swords at once. Elizabeth shrieks to get them to stop. Will dives under Norrington and Jack's swords, taking off with the key. The two chase him.]
Elizabeth: STOP IT!
[The trio clash swords once more for a few moments. They pause.]
Jack: [to Will] We cannot let him get the chest, trust me on this. [glance at Norrington; Will makes a "What...?" look] You can mistrust me less than you can mistrust him, trust me.
Norrington: [teeth gritted; to Will] He just wants Elizabeth for himself.
Jack: Pot. Kettle. Black.
[Norrington pushes the locked swords at Jack, who dodges, reaches down and snatches the key away from Will's hand. Flees and Norrington and Will chase him. Norrington just kicks Will in the chest, who lands on his back.]
Elizabeth: [going to him] Will!
Will: Guard the chest! [runs back to the dueling duo]
Elizabeth: [defiant voice like a little kid] ...NO! [follows him]
